A quick introduction to me:
I’m Jeramiah Dooley, and I’ve worked in IT for almost 20 years including the verdor, service provider, telecommunications, legal, medical and sales industries. I’ve processed paging company acquisitions, built multi-state video and audioconferencing systems, designed document management platforms and built the infrastructure for cardiac-specific hospitals. I helped build a Managed Services practice inside an existing data center provider, focusing on the infrastructure, product design and business management side of things. I’ve been a subject matter expert on service provider business practices and revenue generation techniques, trusted multi-tenancy, VMware vCloud Technologies and Cisco Unified Communications.
My passion is to position technology in general, and virtualization in particular, as a way to solve customer problems and generate revenue. I’ve been working with VMware products in multi-tenant, public-facing, revenue generating environments for years, and I’m always looking to learn something new.
When I’m not buried in something geeky, I’m home with my wife and two small kids trying to see how much trouble we can get into.
Technologist, Start-up Lover, Builder of Solutions, I transfer enthusiasm at NetApp
Charlotte, North Carolina Area | Information Technology and Services
I have worked in almost every technical capacity, from network engineering, to systems design, to pre-sales engineering to product management to service delivery to product development, and I have loved all of it.
I have worked for large, global companies, and have the frequent flyer miles to show for it. I have worked for small, local companies and have the relationships to show for it. I have worked for crazy start-ups and have the scars to show for it. Each have had their own challenges and charms, but the people I've gotten the opportunity to work with have always been the best part.
I hate being bored, and I hate predictability. I love meeting new people, simplifying difficult concepts, looking around corners and seeing that moment when everything falls into place.
I believe the best hardware is boring, the best software is being continually made better and the best projects are those that combine a great idea with incredible people.
I don't sleep. I never stop learning. I'm not afraid of hard work. I'm always interested in what's next.
